This opportunity resides with Global Security (GS). Mission Technologies’ Global Security (GS) group comprises live, virtual, constructive (LVC) solutions; fleet sustainment; nuclear and environmental; and Australia business.   • Performs engineering functions in one or more of the following specialties: electronics, electrical, mechanical, civil, naval, and/or chemical.
  • Analyze new components, design modifications, revised processes for ships space arrangements, and Topside arrangements.
  • Prepare studies and installation/test procedures for impact on ship design and system technical requirements.
  • Coordinate system engineering support of ship Engineering Change Proposal (ECP) activities and review all combat system related changes to ship documentation and impacts to combat system space arrangements, and Topside arrangements as requested by the Government.
  • Prepare studies in support of Combat System upgrades and/or changes to evaluate the physical impact of the upgrades with the installed system in order to identify problems, propose solutions and make recommendations to reduce risks.
  • 5 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 3 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; or 0 years experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field.
  • Candidate must be a recent graduate with a Bachelor's of Science degree in Engineering or graduating college senior who is in good academic standing and pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
  • Candidate must have experience with 3D Computer-Aided Design (CAD) models of Combat System space arrangements and Topside Sensor Models to facilitate the preparation of ship integration designs.
  • Candidate must have experience with combat systems on U.S. Navy ships in the arrangement design, testing, installation, maintenance, alteration, and repair of electrical and electronic equipment and systems.
  • Candidate must have experience in performing arrangement site surveys and ship checks of combat and weapon systems and associated equipment electronic cabinets and consoles.
  • Candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance.
