The ARPS Family Center Liaison serves as a districtwide resource to strengthen family engagement, improve equity of access, and remove barriers that interfere with students’ academic success and overall wellbeing. This position supports families across all schools—PreK–12—by providing guidance on navigating the school system, connecting families to essential services, and fostering strong home–school partnerships. Special attention is given to supporting new families, multilingual families, and those experiencing poverty, housing instability, trauma, or immigration-related challenges. The ARPS Family Center Liaison is responsible for providing Tier 1, 2, and 3 interventions for students and families to foster a supportive school experience. This role is essential in promoting student engagement, addressing chronic absenteeism, and collaborating with building leaders on various student and family-focused initiatives. This is a position in the Amherst Pelham Educators Association (APEA) Unit A Collective Bargaining Agreement.
