About The Position

The Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner works under the supervision of a Psychiatrist and Program Manager to provide treatment services intended to assist persons with mental illness. This advanced professional position involves prescribing psychotropic medication to stabilize patients' conditions within a hospital setting at the Advent Ocala location.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Psychiatric Nursing.
• Current Florida ARNP license.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, consumers, employees, and the general public.

Responsibilities

• Conduct medication clinics, monitoring and altering drug therapies according to established protocol and consistent with the practice setting.
• Perform diagnostic evaluation of consumer needs.
• Coordinate, monitor, and supervise the delivery of clinical treatment services provided by clinicians and support services staff.
• Complete required consumer-related documentation for clinical services and maintain up-to-date clinical records.
• As program Clinical Administrator, provide on-call services as required.
• Maintain cooperative relationships with other internal departments and programs, as well as community agencies.
• Continue professional development through in-service education, workshops, conferences, and self-study necessary to maintain current knowledge applicable to the position.
