About The Position

PeopleTec is currently seeking an Army Logistics SME to support our Huntsville, AL location. The selectee will provide acquisition logistics support to the Logistics Management Division (LMD) Chief / Product Support Manager (PSM) for UAS weapon systems that spans the acquisition life-cycle framework. Support will focus on the writing, management, and staffing of acquisition logistics documentation meeting milestone events. Selectee will coordinate the UAS documentation Integrated Product Team (IPT), develop schedules, track progress, keep meeting minutes/notes, adjudicate comments between internal and external stakeholders. The selectee will provide timely review of new or updated acquisition documentation, including but not limited to Life Cycle Support Plans (LCSP) and associated annexes, Acquisition Strategy (AS), Systems Engineering Plan (SEP), to support alignment back the LCSP for acquisition milestone reviews. Required to maintain cognizance of deadlines and take appropriate action to complete tasks in time to accommodate review schedules. Leverage technical and logistics experience in performing reviewing contractor proposals with a focus on identifying potential product support impacts. Recognize issues, propose or jointly develop corrective action, and keep the PSM informed. Provide briefings, presentations, and written reports to leadership, management and peers.

Requirements

  • At least 10 years of experience
  • Experience developing, reviewing, staffing, modifying and/or providing input into acquisition documentation, especially Life Cycle Sustainment -Plans (LCSP) and appendices for a ACAT I or II program required.
  • Participation in technical Integrated Product Teams (IPT), meetings, or coordinating with engineers and technical staff required.
  • Experience with tracing logistics documents requirements to the DoDD 5000.1 and DoDI 5000.2, DoDI 5000.85, DoDI 5000.91, AR 700-127, and DA PAM 700-127.
  • Proficient with MS Office suite or tools (word, excel, power point, outlook).
  • Lean Six Sigma & Process Excellence-The ability to systematically analyze and improve business processes, ensuring efficiency, quality, and waste reduction. This is the foundation for optimizing both the acquisition process itself and the operations of acquired assets.
  • AI & Data Science Acumen- The technical capability to understand, evaluate, and leverage artificial intelligence and machine learning. This is crucial for assessing the viability of AI-based technologies and using AI to enhance decision-making.
  • Strategic & Business Skills- The overarching skills needed to align technical evaluations with business objectives, manage complex projects, and communicate effectively with all stakeholders. Process Mapping & Value
  • Stream Mapping-Ability to visually map current-state processes to identify waste, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement.
  • AI/ML Model Evaluation-Understanding of how to assess the performance, accuracy, and limitations of different machine learning models (e.g., regression, classification, clustering).
  • Generative AI & Prompt Engineering-Skill in using and fine-tuning Large Language Models (LLMs) like ChatGPT, Gemini, or Copilot for tasks such as data synthesis, document analysis, and report generation.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • An active DoD Secret clearance is required to perform this work. Candidates are required to have an active Secret clearance upon hire, and the ability to maintain this level of clearance during their employment.
