The Army Aviation (Fixed Wing) - Tool & Parts Attendant is responsible for receiving, storing, and issuing hand tools, machine tools, dies, replacement parts, shop supplies, and equipment, such as measuring devices, in an industrial establishment. The Tools and Parts Attendant keeps records of tools issued to and returned by workers, searches for lost or misplaced tools, prepares periodic inventory or keeps perpetual inventory and requisitions stock as needed. They unpack and store new equipment, visually inspect tools or measure with a micrometer for wear or defects, and report damaged or worn-out equipment to superiors. The role may also involve coating tools with grease or other preservatives and attaching identification tags or engraving identifying information on tools and equipment using an electric marking tool. Additionally, the attendant performs all other position-related duties as assigned or requested.
