About The Position

We are seeking experienced Armorers to support mission-critical operations across multiple sites. These individuals will be responsible for the accountability, maintenance, issuance, and safe operation of weapons systems used by deployed personnel. Ideal candidates bring strong attention to detail, proven weapons-handling expertise, and the ability to operate independently in fast-paced or austere environments. Travel may be required up to 75% of the time.

Requirements

  • Prior U.S. military service in a role with weapons maintenance, armory, or small-arms repair responsibilities (e.g., 91F, 2111/2112, 2W1X1, Master-at-Arms, or equivalent).
  • Proven experience as an Armorer, Small Arms Repairer, Weapons Custodian, or similar role.
  • Strong working knowledge of small arms, weapons systems, optics, and accessories.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and maintenance guidance.
  • Experience conducting weapons inspections, repairs, and serviceability checks.
  • Strong understanding of accountability procedures, serialized tracking, and chain-of-custody requirements.
  • Ability to lift, carry, and move weapons and equipment as required.
  • Must be able to pass background checks, medical screenings, and deployment requirements.

Nice To Haves

  • Advanced military armorer or small-arms repair certifications.
  • Experience with foreign weapons platforms or specialized operational equipment.
  • Prior Outside the Continental United States (OCONUS), Worldwide Protective Services (WPS), or contractor experience in high-tempo environments.
  • Experience setting up or managing armory operations, arms rooms, or secure storage facilities.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the receipt, storage, accountability, and issuance of weapons, optics, ammunition, and serialized equipment.
  • Perform detailed inspections, cleaning, function checks, repairs, and preventative maintenance on small arms, crew-served weapons, and associated accessories.
  • Diagnose malfunctions, replace components, and conduct serviceability checks in accordance with manufacturer guidelines and military technical manuals.
  • Maintain accurate weapons inventory, custody records, maintenance logs, and issue/turn-in documentation.
  • Ensure all weapons and equipment are compliant with safety standards, readiness requirements, and operational directives.
  • Coordinate with site leadership on equipment demands, lifecycle replacement, resupply needs, and mission-specific loadouts.
  • Train personnel on proper weapon handling, basic maintenance, clearing procedures, and safe storage practices.
  • Support pre-deployment and post-deployment processing by ensuring all weapons are serviceable, serialized, and accounted for.
  • Follow strict chain-of-custody protocols and maintain controlled access to arms rooms, vaults, and storage facilities.
  • Operate effectively with limited oversight while maintaining the highest standards of accountability and safety.
