About The Position

Performance Health/Armedica is seeking a Plant Operations Manager to join our Greenwood, AR team. In this role, you will be responsible for the daily operations of a single manufacturing site overseeing employees, production, warehousing and efficiencies. Responsible for driving productivity and optimization of manufacturing processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 10+ years of experience in industrial management/leadership required
  • 2-5 years of engineering experience preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and managerial skills
  • Thorough understanding of manufacturing policies and practices
  • Ability to set long-term goals and communicate them effectively
  • Ability to motivate and organize multiple efforts to accomplish goals
  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time, including overnight travel.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations of the manufacturing site including employees, production, and warehousing.
  • Drive productivity and optimization of manufacturing processes.
  • Engage and partner with team and peers to drive results and culture change.
  • Build credibility as a leader and influencer within the organization.
  • Set clear expectations and align the team with the direction set.
  • Create an approachable culture and foster open communication.
  • Deliver effective and actionable feedback to help team members improve.
  • Set production targets, manpower targets, and ensure they are achieved.
  • Support and lead shift supervisors in their operations.
  • Direct and coordinate shift operations of manufacturing activities.
  • Ensure delivery of quality products and services on time within budget.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, Environmental, and all relevant regulations.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance processes and reduce waste.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams for process enhancements and production innovations.
  • Monitor performance and personnel accountability, including time and attendance.
  • Coordinate with Maintenance for optimized equipment uptime.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to resolve potential operating issues.
  • Address urgent actions identified during Gemba walks regarding safety and operations.
  • Participate in recruitment, hiring, and training of manufacturing employees.
  • Oversee schedules and assignments.
