About The Position

The Uniformed Armed Agent will protect people and property from possible criminal activity. By providing a high level of customer services to the Client. Agents prevent, observe, and report any unusual or suspicious activities according with site specific and post orders or special operations procedures. Armed Agents must feel comfortable responding to medical emergencies, bomb threats, hazards, fires and more. As well as, assisting local law enforcement agencies when needed.

Requirements

• CA EXPOSED FIRE PERMIT REQUIRED
• CA GUARD CARD REQUIRED
• Excellent observational skills and attention to detail.
• Must be able to write accurate and thorough reports.
• Customer Service Oriented.
• Team player, punctual and dependable, with good de-escalation skills, and judgement.
• Reliable transportation.
• Flexible schedule required, most shifts require weekend availability.
• Authoritative verbal communication skills.
• Ability to remain calm in high-pressure situations.
• Ability to learn the layout of the property and buildings.
• Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.
• Knowledge and experience to work with Excel, Word, Doc, iPhone/iPad.
• Current BSIS guard card.
• Exposed Firearm Permit.

Nice To Haves

• Less than lethal licenses / permits preferable (baton, taser, pepper spray).
• We prefer someone with experience, 2 years’ experience minimum.

Responsibilities

• Patrols and monitors an assigned area; reports suspicious activities to local authorities.
• Monitors surveillance cameras, inspects property, and monitors crowds.
• Contacts law enforcement or fire department in case of an emergency.
• After business hours, checks doors, windows, and gates to ensure the property is secure.
• Investigates reports of suspicious activity on the property.
• Reasonably detains persons suspected of criminal activity until law enforcement arrives.
• Escorts discharged staff, trespassers, and other unwelcome parties off the premises.
• Monitoring CCTV, prepare DAR (Daily Activity Reports), familiar with access control procedures.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
