DSI is growing—again! We are currently hiring Armed Security Supervisors to join our team in Decatur, AL. This role is ideal for a proven security professional with leadership experience who is dependable, professional, and customer-service driven. As an Armed Security Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing on-site security operations, leading Armed Security Officers, and ensuring all post orders, policies, and safety standards are followed. You will serve as a key point of contact between officers, clients, and branch leadership while maintaining a safe and secure environment.

Requirements

Must be at least 21 years of age
High school diploma or equivalent (required)
Previous armed security experience
Demonstrated supervisory or leadership experience
Valid state driver’s license (required)
Reliable transportation and consistent means of communication (required)
Basic to intermediate computer proficiency required (report writing, scheduling, and electronic systems)
Strong written and verbal communication skills required
Ability to remain on your feet for extended periods and perform frequent walking, standing, and movement throughout the shift, including routine patrols and moderate physical activity in all weather conditions.
Must successfully pass all required criminal background checks, motor vehicle screening, and drug screening
One of the following is required: Prior military, law enforcement, or corrections experience OR A minimum of five (5) years of verifiable armed security supervisory experience
Valid state driver’s license
Valid concealed carry permit

Responsibilities

Supervise and support Armed Security Officers during assigned shifts
Ensure compliance with DSI policies, client requirements, and post instructions
Maintain a safe and secure environment through visible leadership, patrols, and oversight
Respond to and manage incidents, emergencies, and escalated situations
Observe, report, and address safety hazards, suspicious activity, and security concerns
Assist with training, coaching, and performance accountability of assigned personnel
Complete incident reports, shift logs, and required documentation accurately and timely
Serve as a professional representative of DSI with clients, visitors, and the public
Participate in required training and ensure team compliance with DSI safety policies and manuals
