About The Position

The Armed Site Supervisor functions as a supervisor of Security Officers, Lead Officers, and other company personnel assigned to one or more posts at client site(s). This role acts to ensure that all post orders are followed, that established rounds are completed, and that required reports are filed. The supervisor notifies proper authorities and clients in emergency situations. Responsibilities include coaching and disciplining personnel, training Security Officers, and assisting in payroll submissions. The supervisor also ensures adequate coverage of all posts, prepares and submits various reports, and meets with client representatives to ensure security requirements are met. Additionally, the supervisor may perform the duties of a Security Officer as needed.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or G.E.D.
  • 2 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in retail preferred.
  • Knowledge of security operations, patrol, inspection, and response services.
  • Knowledge of supervisory practices and procedures.
  • Ability to provide positive direction and motivate performance.
  • Understanding of security and safety devices and controls.
  • Ability to learn quickly and follow instructions.
  • Ability to maintain professional composure in unusual circumstances.
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a supervisory role within security operations.
  • Familiarity with state, county, and municipal licensing requirements for Security Officers.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise Security Officers and other personnel at client sites.
  • Ensure compliance with post orders and established rounds.
  • Notify authorities and clients in emergency situations.
  • Coach and discipline personnel as appropriate.
  • Train Security Officers and review post orders with subordinates.
  • Assist in payroll and personnel information submissions.
  • Ensure adequate coverage of all posts and positions.
  • Prepare and submit various reports as required.
  • Inspect posts and meet with subordinates to outline tasks.
  • Meet with client representatives to ensure security requirements are met.
  • Carry out supervisory duties including interviewing, training, and performance appraisals.
  • Perform duties of a Security Officer as assigned.
