Join Allied Universal as an Armed Security Officer in a commercial real estate location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, stay visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. This is an armed and driving post for a professional who values teamwork, integrity, reliability, and a people-first approach while supporting daily operations.

Requirements

• An armed guard card and/or license is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Handcuffing certification is preferred.
• Pepper spray certification is preferred.
• Baton certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and property staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a commercial real estate location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting information to property management and/or public emergency personnel as needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity, unsecured areas, and/or conditions that may require attention.
• Monitor access points, common areas, and exterior grounds to help support authorized access, observe site activity, and/or address policy violations in accordance with post instructions.
• Maintain required armed post readiness by handling assigned firearm and related equipment in accordance with Allied Universal policies, post orders, and applicable laws and licensing requirements.
