About The Position

The Armed Security Officer at Spartan Energy is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of the office premises, employees, and visitors. This role requires the officer to be equipped with firearms and to demonstrate excellent judgment and communication skills while managing potentially volatile situations with professionalism and tact.

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; higher education in criminal justice or related field preferred.
• Valid state-issued armed security officer license.
• Valid firearms permit and proficiency in handling firearms.
• Prior experience in law enforcement, military, or security preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Physical fitness and ability to stand, walk, and lift for extended periods.

Nice To Haves

• Higher education in criminal justice or related field preferred.
• Prior experience in law enforcement, military, or security preferred.

Responsibilities

• Patrol assigned areas within the office premises to prevent and detect signs of intrusion, unauthorized access, or suspicious activities.
• Monitor surveillance cameras and alarms to identify and respond to security threats promptly.
• Enforce access control procedures to ensure only authorized individuals enter the premises.
• Conduct security screenings of employees, visitors, and deliveries as necessary.
• Maintain accurate records of security incidents, observations, and activities.
• Collaborate with local law enforcement agencies as needed.
• Provide excellent customer service to employees and visitors, answering questions and addressing concerns in a courteous and professional manner.
• Stay updated on security protocols, procedures, and best practices.
