Security Officers provide mobile patrol and rapid response to suspicious or criminal activity and safety hazards. Security Officers shall wear an appropriate seasonal uniform, perform the following tasks, and have the following qualifications.

  • Perform highly visible, alert and vigilant mobile patrol and/or static security functions.
  • Observe for suspicious or criminal behavior on or around the Properties and deter criminal targeting of Client's assets through visible presence and field contacts.
  • Rapidly respond to dispatch calls to investigate, mitigate, preempt or stop criminal acts, utilizing sound tactical and lawful decision making.
  • Prevent, intercept, and remove unauthorized persons attempting to gain access to any Properties.
  • Protect all persons from physical assault, harassment, and/or intimidation at designated Properties.
  • Assist with medical or other emergency conditions.
  • Report security concerns, incidents, suspicious activity, and crimes immediately to Clients' representatives and/or emergency services personnel.
  • Meet and deal tactfully and politely with the public and visitors.
  • Respond to Client personnel in a timely, effective and professional manner.
  • Respond to the scene of crimes and emergencies to assist in crime scene management and investigation.
  • Enforce Clients' access and property control policies at all gates and lobbies.
  • Communicate and remain accessible via two-way radio and/or SECURITY COMPANY-issued cellular phone.
  • Complete all reports and paperwork as required.
  • Provide first aid, CPR, and assist during emergencies as necessary.
  • Maintain mandated training requirements in accordance with company guidance and state and federal law.
  • Maintain weapons qualifications.
  • Ensure safety requirements compliance and safe work practices.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Regular, in-person attendance is required.
  • Minimum of 4 years in a Combat MOS; U.S. Military Special Operations Unit; or a U.S. Law Enforcement Special Operations Unit, or minimum 6 years as a sworn law enforcement officer/agent.
  • LEOSA/HR218 certification preferred.
  • Must possess a valid Massachusetts Class A License to Carry with no restrictions.
  • Verifiable experience and training in security awareness, mediation and conflict resolution.
  • Must possess a minimum of a High School diploma or equivalent from a U.S. Accredited School.
  • A US Citizen with social security card.
  • Must possess a valid active state driver's license.
  • Class A Firearm License.
  • Current CPR/AED/1st Aid Certification.
  • Write and speak clearly and effectively in English.
  • Must meet all medical, physical, drug test standards as outlined in the contract.
  • Must have the ability to maintain a high level of physical fitness and personal appearance.
