The Armed Security Officer position at Diversified Protection Corporation (DPC) is a critical role responsible for ensuring the safety and security of assets, personnel, customers, and visitors. This position operates under the direct supervision of the Captain and requires a high level of professionalism and discretion, especially in stressful situations. The officer will be expected to read and understand various printed rules, detailed orders, and training materials in English, as well as communicate effectively with co-workers and the public through both verbal and written means. The ability to compose clear and concise reports is essential, as the officer will need to document incidents, accidents, and other security-related situations accurately. The essential functions of the role include performing security patrols, enforcing access control procedures, and protecting property from theft, embezzlement, sabotage, fire, and accidents. The officer will also investigate incidents and write reports on suspicious activities and safety hazards. Assisting customers, employees, and visitors in adhering to departmental procedures is a key responsibility, and the officer may be assigned additional duties by a security Lieutenant or Project Manager as needed. This position requires a commitment to maintaining a professional demeanor and the ability to handle various security challenges effectively.
