About The Position

Armed Security Officer – Full Time – Denver, CO Wage: $23.53/HR Available Schedule: Sat - Wed: 6:30AM - 2:30PM, 2:30PM - 10:30PM Fri - Mon: 7AM - 5PM, 9AM - 5:30PM Securitas Security is looking for Armed Security professionals to join our team in providing overall safety and security services to our clients. Our armed program includes advanced firearms training, personal defense strategies, de-escalation, and use of force. We issue all necessary equipment to include company issued firearm and ammunition. Requirements

21 years of age or older.
High School Diploma, GED, OR ability to complete the GED program within 6 months.
Standard computer / technology skills needed - The ability to utilize a tablet, computer, or smartphone.
Must be able to interact with a wide range of customers in a calm and professional manner.
Must have great attention to detail and have the ability to remain alert throughout the duration of the shift.
Must be able to respond to emergencies with rapid / effective judgment and use appropriate escalation.
All candidates must be willing to participate in the Company’s pre-employment screening process, including drug screen and background investigation.
2 years Armed experience.
Must be able to meet and continue to meet any applicable state, county and municipal licensing and permit requirements for Security Officers.
Must pass pre-hire testing assignment and shooting qualification.
Must have a reliable personal vehicle.
Must have the legal right to work in the United States.
Must have the ability to speak, read, and write English.
Must be able to provide the office with a reliable phone number where the officer can be reached at all times (i.e. cellular).
Must be reliable, accountable, punctual, and have a strong work ethic.
Must be able to conduct patrols throughout shift.
Must be comfortable conducting access control duties.

Nice To Haves

LEO or Military experience preferred.
Conflict resolution and de-escalation skills a plus.

Responsibilities

Patrol assigned site on foot or in a vehicle; check for unsafe conditions, hazards, unlocked doors, security violations, blocked entrances and exits, mechanical problems, and unauthorized persons.
Work directly with law enforcement, government staffing, and the community.
Write detailed incident reports on unauthorized entries, suspicious activity, emergency situations, and any other observed issues.
Security screen all persons coming through the public entrance to ensure prohibited items are not entering facilities.
Monitor surveillance cameras.
Conduct patrols throughout shift.
Conduct access control duties.
