As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a retail location, you will drive and patrol assigned areas, stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and respond to concerns with calm, clear communication. Requirements

  • Be at least 21+ Years of Age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Level III Armed Certification is required in Texas only.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Loss Prevention experience is preferred.
  • Customer Service Experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, team members, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a retail and/or mall location.
  • Carry a firearm and related equipment in accordance with Allied Universal policies, applicable laws, and site-specific post orders; maintain required licenses and complete mandated training.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with disturbances, potential theft, medical situations, and/or other urgent events; request law enforcement and/or emergency services as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the store, common areas, entrances, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or policy violations.
  • Document security-related activities, incidents, and observations in written reports and/or electronic systems, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal management and site leadership.
