About The Position

The Armed Security Officer provides first response to emergencies, enforces federal law and assimilated state law, and conducts mobile patrols.

Requirements

• Minimum High School Diploma or GED.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Two years of service in the United States Armed Services (including Reserve or National Guard), or
• Any combination of two years of experience in physical security (as a security officer - armed or unarmed) and service with the United States Armed Services (including Reserves or National Guard), or
• Associate's degree in a Security or Law Enforcement related field, or successful completion of a police officer’s basic training academy.
• Must possess and maintain a valid state driver’s license.
• Ability to successfully meet all Physical Agility Test (PAT) standards as required by the customer
• Completion and passing of the MMPI psychological assessment

Responsibilities

• Provide access control and traffic control, ensuring safe and secure entry, exit, and movement throughout designated areas.
• Conduct armed security patrols, both on foot and in motorized vehicles, to maintain a visible security presence and deter unauthorized activity.
• Perform personnel, vehicular, building, and facility checks to verify compliance with security standards and procedures.
• Inspect packages and parcels in accordance with established security guidelines.
• Work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, based on operational requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned in support of overall security operations.
• Other duties as assigned
