Job Description As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol Data Center in Corpus Christi, TX , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal at a government location as an armed patrol officer, conducting routine rounds and remaining highly visible to help discourage security-related incidents. You will respond to calls for service, document observations, assist visitors and staff with clear communication, and support site protocols with professionalism. Bring your Level III armed certification and represent a team that is agile, reliable, innovative, and people-first, delivering through teamwork and integrity.

Requirements

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a Level III Armed Certification in Texas only.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and contractors at a government location by following Allied Universal procedures, site-specific policies, and assigned post orders.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, parking areas, and perimeter routes to help to identify suspicious activity, unsecured areas, and security-related hazards; document observations and notify appropriate contacts.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation, medical response support, and coordination with law enforcement and/or emergency services as directed.
  • Control access points by verifying identification, monitoring entry and exit, enforcing posted rules, and/or conducting visual inspections as required by site procedures.
  • Prepare clear, timely reports and logs of patrols, incidents, and policy violations; preserve scene conditions when required and assist with investigations by providing statements and video or access-control information.
