The position requires firearm licensing and training, sound judgment, professionalism, accurate reporting, coordination with law enforcement, and the ability to remain calm, alert, and customer-focused under pressure. Note Responsibilities and requirements are not exhaustive; additional duties may be assigned based on client or company needs.

Requirements

• Valid Armed Tennessee Security Officer License (or ability to obtain)
• Must be 21+ years old
• Completion of Armed training and valid pistol permit
• 1+ years of verifiable security, military, or law enforcement experience
• Perform effectively in fast-paced, potentially stressful environments
• Weekend availability when needed
• Strong situational awareness and curiosity
• Ability to stay calm, problem-solve, and act effectively in critical situations
• Basic computer skills and tablet-based reporting
• Stand or sit for at least 1 hour without support
• Walk at least ½ mile without stopping
• Climb 20 commercial stairs without stopping
• High school diploma or equivalent

Nice To Haves

• 3+ years verifiable security, military, or law enforcement experience
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite

Responsibilities

• Conduct walking patrols to enhance safety and report concerns
• Monitor access points; verify identification and credentials
• Enforce security procedures and Post Instructions
• Respond to alarms, emergencies, and incidents per protocol
• Maintain detailed activity and incident logs
• Perform routine tasks: lock/unlock doors, manage security systems, monitor surveillance feeds
• Assist visitors and employees professionally
• Enforce SEI and client policies (smoking, loitering, parking, etc.)
• Maintain a clean, well-pressed uniform and professional appearance
