As an Armed Patrol Officer in a retail and mall location, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and support access control points as needed. This post requires a valid driver’s license and a Texas Level III Armed Certification. Requirements

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Hold a Level III Armed Certification in Texas.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to the client by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a retail location.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the store, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter prohibited activity and identify hazards or policy violations.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalating disputes and requesting assistance from law enforcement and/or management as needed.
• Control access to restricted areas, monitor customer and employee activity for unusual behavior, and complete required security-related screenings and/or checks per site policy.
• Document patrols, incidents, and observations in written and/or electronic reports, and communicate updates to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
