As an Armed Patrol Officer at a busy retail location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help reduce security-related incidents while supporting shoppers and store teams with clear communication and customer service. This is an armed and driving post requiring a valid driver’s license and Level III Armed Certification. Requirements

  • 21+ Years of Age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Level III Armed Certification Texas Only.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access Control/Badge Experience - preferred.
  • Customer Service Experience - preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to customers, tenants, and/or team members while carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a retail grocery and mall environment.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of sales floors, entrances, parking areas, loading docks, and perimeter areas to help to deter unwanted activity and/or policy violations.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating with on-site management and local law enforcement as needed.
  • Control access to restricted areas and support opening and closing activities, monitoring deliveries, contractors, and/or after-hours activity in accordance with location requirements.
  • Document incidents, patrol activities, and/or observations in written reports and electronic systems, and communicate relevant information to supervisors and client representatives.
