Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer at a government location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and support a professional environment through strong communication and customer service. Requirements

  • A minimum of 1+ years of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience is required.
  • An armed guard card/license is required.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or members of the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting details and communicating with supervisors, local law enforcement, and/or emergency personnel as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, parking areas, transit-related access points, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and report unusual conditions.
  • Monitor entrances, restricted areas, and public-facing spaces, verifying access permissions when required and assisting with security-related concerns, directions, and general information.
  • Perform assigned armed post duties in accordance with Allied Universal policies, post orders, and applicable laws, maintaining professional presence and readiness to respond to security-related events.
