About The Position

We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Armed Security Officer to join our security team at APX Security Solutions LLC. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our premises, personnel, and assets, primarily in Manhattan and Queens. This role involves personal protection and premise theft prevention, requiring a professional appearance and law enforcement experience. The position offers flexible scheduling and competitive pay based on experience.

Requirements

• Proven experience in security or law enforcement is preferred.
• Professional appearance is a must; business attire required for personal security.
• Certification in CPR and First Aid is highly desirable.
• Strong conflict management skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
• Familiarity with surveillance systems, including CCTV operation.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Excellent observational skills with attention to detail.
• Must possess a valid armed security officer license or certificate as required by state regulations.
• Physically fit with the ability to stand for extended periods and respond quickly in emergencies.

Nice To Haves

• Customer service experience (1 year preferred)
• Ability to speak Chinese (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Monitor and patrol assigned areas to ensure safety and security.
• Respond promptly to incidents, alarms, and emergencies.
• Utilize surveillance equipment, including CCTV, to observe activities and gather evidence.
• Conduct thorough inspections of premises to identify potential security risks.
• Implement conflict management strategies to de-escalate situations effectively.
• Collaborate with law enforcement agencies when necessary.
• Maintain accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and observations.
• Provide assistance in loss prevention efforts by identifying suspicious behavior and reporting it accordingly.
• Ensure compliance with all safety protocols and regulations.
