About The Position

The Armed Security Officer position is a substitute role within the school district, responsible for maintaining safety and security on school premises. The officer will perform duties as outlined in the job description and any additional tasks assigned by the school principal, district superintendent, or other designated authority. This role requires a commitment to ensuring the safety of students and staff, as well as effective crisis management.

Requirements

• High School Diploma (or equivalent)
• Prior law enforcement and/or school safety experience preferred
• Valid NJ driver's license
• Valid SORA certification
• Valid concealed carry permit
• Knowledge of safety and security measures, fire prevention, and crowd control related to children
• Ability to maintain order and work with groups and individuals on matters of security and crisis management
