As a Security Officer - Armed School Patrol in Rock Hill, SC , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned educational locations, helping to deter security-related incidents while providing a visible presence. Your role involves conducting routine patrols, assisting students and staff, and delivering outstanding customer service. Armed responsibilities are required for this position. Requirements

Have at least 5 years of security-related experience, or at least 1 year of armed security, law enforcement, or military experience.
Possess an armed guard card or license, as required by law.
Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED, as required by the client.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within an educational environment.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, helping to maintain a secure atmosphere for students, staff, and visitors.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the campus and perimeter to help to deter inappropriate activities and/or unauthorized access.
Monitor entry and exit points to help to deter prohibited items and/or unauthorized individuals from entering the location.
Document and report any unusual activities, security-related incidents, and/or maintenance needs observed during patrols.
Collaborate with school administration and local authorities as needed during incidents or emergencies.
Remain visible and approachable to provide a reassuring presence for the educational community.
