Join Allied Universal at a government location as a patrol officer, supporting day to day operations through routine rounds, access monitoring, and timely reporting of security-related concerns. You will maintain a visible presence that can help to deter unwanted activity, assist staff and visitors with clear communication, and respond to incidents with calm professionalism. This role requires an armed guard card/license, and rewards teamwork, integrity, and a caring, people-first culture.

Requirements

  • Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
  • Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
  • X-ray screening experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to personnel and visitors at a government location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, parking areas, and perimeter zones, noting irregular activity and conditions that may require attention.
  • Monitor access points and public areas, help to deter unauthorized entry, and assist with visitor direction, basic questions, and policy reminders as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation, notifications, and coordinating with site contacts and/or public responders.
  • Complete detailed activity and incident reports, maintain required logs, and communicate observations to Allied Universal supervision and site leadership.
