About The Position

As a Security Officer Armed Patrol in Raleigh, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. Requirements

• Possess a minimum of 2 years of law enforcement, military police, and/or corrections experience.
• Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Pepper spray certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a financial institution location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting observations and reporting relevant details to management and/or law enforcement as needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the location, including the building interior, exterior, parking areas, and perimeter, to help identify unusual activity and/or potential concerns.
• Monitor access points, assist with visitor and employee entry procedures, and help to deter unauthorized access to restricted areas involving cash handling, records, and other sensitive spaces.
• Support opening and closing activities, maintain a visible presence, and follow post orders related to security-related patrol, incident response, and/or transport or escort duties when assigned.
