The Security Officer is responsible for the safety and security of the facilities they protect. A Security Officer acts as a visible deterrent to crime and client rule infractions and detect and report suspicious, unsafe or criminal acts at or near their assigned posts, which may be a threat to the property, clients, guests or employees at the site.

Requirements

  • Must have 2 years of Armed Security Experience.
  • Must have an active Armed Virginia DCJS Security License with Firearm Endorsement.
  • Be at least 18 years of age with high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Possess effective written and oral communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Must successfully complete a background investigation and a drug screen.
  • Must possess a valid Driver's License with at least one year of driving experience (if applicable).

Nice To Haves

  • Intermediate computer skills to operate innovative, wireless technology.
  • Ability to work in various environments such as cold weather, rain/snow or heat.
  • Ability to occasionally lift or carry up to 40 pounds.
  • Ability to climb stairs, ramps, or ladders occasionally during shift.
  • Ability to stand or walk on various surfaces for long periods of time.
