Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer at a busy healthcare location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents. You will respond to calls for assistance, support staff and visitors with calm customer service, and communicate clearly with your team. Requirements
- Possess an armed guard card/license.
- Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- CPR certification is preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out site-specific procedures, access control practices, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
- Perform armed patrol duties and maintain readiness in accordance with Allied Universal and site post orders, using professional communication and de-escalation techniques when needed.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including disturbances, medical area disruptions, and reports of suspicious activity.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, parking areas, and perimeter routes to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations; working environments and conditions may vary by post.
- Complete detailed incident reports and shift logs, support security-related investigations as directed, and coordinate with site leadership and local law enforcement when appropriate.
