Maintain professionalism, while ensuring the highest quality security services in the protection of personnel, property, and information.
Control access to facility by monitoring surveillance equipment, inspecting vehicles, and ensuring all personnel have the proper identification and authorization.
Preserve order and enforce rules, regulations, and directives as defined in post orders.
Perform patrol duties via foot, bike, or vehicle.
Respond to incidents of fire, medical emergency, bomb threat, elevator emergency, hazardous materials, inclement weather, and other incidents that may occur during day or night.
Observe and report incidents or suspicious activity.
Communicate effectively verbally and in written form.
Respond to situations using the appropriate escalation of force up to and including armed response by following established Use of Force policy.
Maintain proficiency and safety in the use of all assigned equipment, control devices, and weapon systems.
Complete regularly scheduled training and (re-)certification requirements.

Ability to obtain Top Secret/SCI clearance with CI polygraph.
Minimum of 21 years of age (required to carry firearm).
High school diploma or GED.
Valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record.
Ability to pass basic physical fitness test (one mile run, crawl, push-ups, sit-ups).
Ability to complete New Mexico Armed Guard Level 3 certification (paid during training).
Ability to meet (and maintain) minimum standards with Glock 17 pistol and M4 style rifle.

Two years of service in the United States Armed Services (including Reserves or National Guard).
Three years of experience in physical security as a security officer (armed or unarmed).
Associate degree or higher in security related field.
Successful completion of an accredited police academy.
Any combination of two years' experience in physical security and military service.

All training hours are compensated.
Uniforms and equipment are provided.
