Requirements

Be at least 21 years of age.
A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
An armed guard card or license is preferred.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergency situations as needed.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the location, including the perimeter and interior areas, to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential issues.
Monitor access points and control entry to restricted areas to help to deter unauthorized entry and maintain order within the government facility.
Document and report security-related incidents, observations, and activities according to site protocols and Allied Universal policies.
Collaborate with site personnel and law enforcement as required to address incidents and/or emergencies.
Remain alert and attentive while on duty, maintaining readiness to respond to changing situations in the government environment.
