As an Allied Universal officer at a busy healthcare location, you will help monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will assist staff, patients, and visitors with clear communication, quick response, and a service-first approach. You will also document observations and support site procedures with integrity, teamwork, and the agile, reliable, innovative mindset that defines our caring culture.

Requirements

  • Have 1+ years of security experience.
  • Possess a DD214 with Honorable Discharge or a Police Academy Certificate or a Corrections Academy Certificate.
  • 1+ Years' Armed Security/Law Enforcement/Military Experience
  • Be at least 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • An armed guard card and/or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by following Allied Universal procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation support and timely notification to clinical staff and/or local responders as directed by post orders.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of corridors, waiting areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access, theft, and other security-related concerns.
  • Monitor access points and observe for unusual activity, completing reports and documenting security-related incidents, observations, and actions per site requirements.
  • Support hospital operations by assisting with wayfinding, managing visitor flow when directed, and maintaining professional communication with staff while protecting confidentiality expectations.
