About The Position

As a Security Guard - Armed in Fairfax, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help create a secure environment for staff, patients, and visitors. Requirements

• Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Possess an armed guard card or license as required by state and/or local regulations.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and respond to emergency situations as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the healthcare facility, including both interior and exterior areas, to help to deter unauthorized activities.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and sensitive areas within the location to help to deter unauthorized access and maintain order.
• Document and report observations, incidents, and suspicious activities in a timely and accurate manner.
• Collaborate with healthcare staff and visitors to address concerns and provide information related to security-related matters.
• Support emergency response activities, such as evacuations or medical emergencies, in accordance with site-specific procedures.
