Learn more: aus.com/earnmore. As an Armed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will conduct routine patrols and maintain a visible presence that helps to reduce security-related incidents. You will respond to concerns, document observations, and provide clear, professional communication while delivering a positive customer service experience. Requirements

• Have 3+ years combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience or a college degree.
• Have an Armed Guard Card and/or license.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

• Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, donors, staff, and/or visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in a healthcare location.
• Perform armed post duties in accordance with licensing requirements, site instructions, and Allied Universal guidelines, including proper weapon retention, secure storage, and professional presence.
• Control access to the facility by monitoring entrances, verifying authorization, and directing foot and vehicle traffic while helping to deter unauthorized entry and/or disruptive activity.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, providing timely notifications to site leadership and/or emergency services as directed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of interior areas, parking areas, and the perimeter, documenting observations and reporting maintenance hazards and/or suspicious activity per site procedures.
