As an Armed Security Guard at Silversword Software and Services, LLC, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the safety and security of designated areas. Your primary responsibilities will include checking the credentials of personnel and vehicles to control access to base posts, buildings, private property, or restricted areas. You will also be responsible for maintaining security equipment to ensure it is in proper working order and functionality. In addition, you will utilize a computer system and software to prepare written reports of any unusual situations or conditions encountered during your shifts. Engaging with witnesses or individuals involved in incidents to obtain statements will also be part of your duties. This position requires you to be a U.S. citizen and suitable for federal employment. You will need to participate in the direct deposit pay program and successfully pass the E-Verify employment verification check. As a member of the Department of Defense (DoD), you will be subject to specific regulations regarding the appointment of retired military members. Males born after December 31, 1959, must be registered for Selective Service. This is a bargaining unit position, and you will be required to complete a pre-appointment physical examination and obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to starting your duties. Failure to meet these requirements may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal from the position. You will also be required to pass a pre-employment drug test, including testing for marijuana, and will be subject to random testing thereafter. It is essential that you meet the qualifications and are certified to carry a firearm, maintaining proficiency with it as part of your role.
