About The Position

The Armed Security Guard is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of facilities, employees, customers, and assets while maintaining a professional and vigilant presence. This role requires a proactive approach to risk management, adherence to applicable regulations, and the ability to respond effectively to incidents.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid PERC and FOID card REQUIRED.
• Able to obtain a DOA (Department of Agriculture) ID.
• Additional credentials such as 20HR Armed and Unarmed Training.
• Prior experience in security, law enforcement, or military experience preferred.
• Ability to remain alert and respond swiftly to security concerns.
• Strong communication and de-escalation skills.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Physical ability to patrol, stand, and respond to emergencies.
• Familiarity with security protocols and emergency response procedures.
• Must be available for on-call shifts and able to report to duty promptly.
• A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are required.
• Must pass a background check.
• Must have legal authorization to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Respond promptly to security alerts, incidents, and emergencies as required.
• Conduct periodic patrols of designated areas to deter unauthorized activities.
• Monitor security systems, including surveillance cameras and access controls.
• Investigate disturbances and take appropriate action based on company protocol.
• Aid employees, clients, and visitors in security matters.
• Prepare and submit detailed reports on security incidents and observations.
• Collaborate with law enforcement or emergency responders when necessary.
• Ensure compliance with company security policies and procedures.
• Maintain a professional demeanor while representing the company.
