Requirements
- Applicants are responsible for supplying their own duty equipment
- MUST have a valid OPOTA certificate at time of hire
- High school or equivalent (Required)
- Security: 3 years (Required)
- Customer service: 2 years (Required)
- Driver's License (Required)
- OPOTA Certification (Required)
- Ability to Relocate: Dayton, OH: Relocate before starting work (Required)
Nice To Haves
- Law enforcement: 1 year (Preferred)
- Military: 4 years (Preferred)
Responsibilities
- Secure facility and property through observation and inspections
- Monitor surveillance equipment
- Monitor access control points
- Permit or deny entry to premises
- Alert help by sounding facility alarms
- Prevent losses and damage
- Report irregularities
- Inform violators of policy and procedures
- Restrain trespassers
- Control traffic by directing drivers
- Write reports and maintain activity log
- Record observations, information, and surveillance activity
- Interview witnesses
- Conduct self in professional manner
- Lend credibility to client site
- Be courteous and uplifting
- Bring people together by being neutral and understanding of people from diverse background
- Comply with all legal requirements
- Contributes to team synergy by communicating, deconflicting, sharing ideas, and complementing efforts
