As an Armed Patrol Officer in a retail and mall location, you will conduct routine patrols, stay highly visible to help deter security-related incidents, and respond to calls for assistance with calm, professional communication. This is a driving post, so you will use a company or site vehicle to cover assigned areas and support store teams and guests. Requirements

• Have a minimum of 2 years of security-related experience.
• Possess a valid armed guard card and/or license.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Possess a Level III armed certification for Texas only.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to guests, associates, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the store, surrounding property, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, using de-escalation techniques and requesting law enforcement and/or management support as needed.
• Control access to restricted areas, monitor entrances and exits, and observe activity on the sales floor and in parking areas, reporting suspicious behavior and/or policy violations.
• Carry, handle, and store assigned firearm and other equipment in accordance with Allied Universal and location-specific requirements, completing required reports and documentation before end of shift.
