About The Position

Iron Rock Security is seeking experienced, professional Armed Security Guards to support schools & religious institutions Manhattan. This role is ideal for law enforcement professionals looking for work, with opportunities to transition into a management role based on performance, reliability, and operational needs. Guards will be responsible for maintaining a visible, reassuring presence while ensuring the safety of students/congregants, staff, and visitors during school/services, events, and daily operations.

Requirements

Active or prior law enforcement experience (required)
Valid unrestricted concealed carry permit (required)
NYS Armed Guard license and current certifications (or ability to obtain immediately)
Excellent judgment, communication, and de-escalation skills
Professional demeanor and reliability
Ability to handle security rounds and checkpoints

Responsibilities

Provide armed security coverage at designated educational & religious institutions
Maintain a strong, professional presence and situational awareness
Control access points and monitor entry/exit activity
Respond quickly and appropriately to incidents or emergencies
Coordinate with site leadership and local law enforcement when needed
Complete incident reports and daily activity logs
Follow all company, client, and local regulations regarding armed security
