About The Position

As a Armed Security Guard - Government Site - Overnight Shift in New Port Richey, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more. As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in helping to maintain a secure environment at a government location. Your responsibilities will include conducting routine patrols throughout the premises, remaining highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and responding promptly to any situations that arise. This is an armed and driving post, requiring you to carry a firearm and operate a vehicle as part of your daily duties. You will interact with the public and staff, providing exceptional customer service and clear communication while upholding the highest standards of professionalism. Requirements

• Must have at least 1 year of experience in armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military roles.
• Must possess a valid armed guard card or license as required by state and/or local regulations.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located and must meet Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
• Monitor for and report any unusual activity, security-related hazards, or potential threats within the government facility.
• Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential disturbances and/or criminal activity.
• Interact with visitors, staff, and the public in a courteous and professional manner, providing assistance as needed.
• Carry and maintain proficiency with assigned firearms and other security-related equipment in accordance with company and site-specific protocols.
• Complete detailed and accurate reports on incidents, observations, and daily activities as required by Allied Universal and site management.
