As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal in a corrections environment, you will monitor and patrol designated areas to help deter security-related incidents and maintain order. Requirements

• Have at least 2 years of security-related experience or 2 years of law enforcement, military, or corrections experience.
• State, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Carry out security-related procedures and site-specific policies while providing customer service to clients, staff, and visitors within a corrections environment.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols for armed patrol officers.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and maintain order.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and other sensitive areas to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious behavior.
• Assist with emergency response activities as required, including coordinating with law enforcement and/or emergency personnel as directed.
• Document and report all security-related incidents, observations, and activities according to site procedures.
• Maintain a visible presence to help to deter disruptive behavior and promote a secure environment within the corrections location.
