Job Description As an Armed Security Court Officer in Detroit, MI , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. You will conduct routine patrols of assigned areas, observe and report security-related concerns, assist staff and visitors with clear communication, and help discourage incidents through visibility and prompt response. Requirements

  • Applicants must be 21+ years of age.
  • A valid Concealed Carry Weapons Permit is required.
  • Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Must have at least 3 years of Police/Military/Security experience
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients at a government location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, public areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity.
  • Control access points by observing visitor and employee entry, checking credentials as required, and directing guests to appropriate areas in accordance with site procedures.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site contacts and public emergency services as needed.
  • Complete patrol and incident reports, document observations, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal supervision and site representatives.
