As an Armed Protective Security Officer, you will be responsible for staffing armed security posts and providing security for personnel, property, and visitors at assigned US Government Property. This role may also involve working in a Control Center. Your primary duties will include being familiar with all state requirements and local jurisdictional criteria for Protective Security Officers, manning posts in accordance with government Post Orders, and performing vehicular searches to detect unauthorized materials. You will serve as a general security presence and a visible deterrent to crime and client rule infractions, while also being vigilant for suspicious activities and potential threats to property, clients, or employees at your assigned post. In addition to monitoring and reporting incidents, you will respond to emergencies such as medical situations and bomb threats, following established emergency response procedures. The role may require you to physically control violent or unruly crowds and attempt to subdue individuals in life-and-death situations. If assigned to a post that requires it, you will also operate a motor vehicle. This position demands a high level of alertness and the ability to act decisively in various situations to ensure the safety and security of all individuals on the premises.
