As part of the Regional Security Services team, the Armed Protection Officer (APO) is responsible for the physical and personal security for members, staff, and visitors within the health care client facilities. This includes responding to emergency situations, preserving order, and enforcing regulations related to personnel, visitors, and premises. Protects staff and property from theft or damage, or people from hazards and interference, including the potential for violence in the workplace. The APO will partner with security and clinical leaders to establish a unified care team to identify and mitigate security and workplace violence risks. Candidates must possess prior experience in law enforcement or military. This entails having served in an official capacity within a law enforcement agency or the US Military. Roles as a security guard, whether armed or unarmed, do not fulfill this requirement on their own.
