As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a government location with medical-related activity, you will conduct routine foot and vehicle patrols, stay highly visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and respond to concerns with calm, professional communication. You will support staff, visitors, and patients through service-focused interactions while documenting observations and coordinating with site leadership. Bring integrity, teamwork, and a people-first mindset to every shift.

Requirements

  • Possess an armed guard card/license.
  • Have 2+ years’ service in a healthcare/medical-related field.
  • Have 5+ years of security experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to a government location.
  • Carry and maintain assigned firearm and related equipment in accordance with Allied Universal policies, post orders, and all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating with local law enforcement and/or onsite personnel as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
  • Control access points by verifying identification and/or authorization, monitoring visitor flow, and completing required reports, logs, and incident documentation.
