About The Position

Armed Guard – Bay Area, CA Pay: Compensation is $27 per hour. (If applicable: Hourly rates may vary depending on the assignment, starting at $27 per hour.) We are seeking highly skilled and dedicated Armed Guards to join our team in San Francisco. This role is responsible for ensuring a safe and secure environment by monitoring premises, enforcing security protocols, and responding to incidents professionally and efficiently. Position Overview We have part-time and temporary positions available for Swing Shift assignments. Ideal candidates must be vigilant, responsible, and capable of handling potentially volatile situations with professionalism.

Requirements

Minimum Certification: Active Guard card License in the State of California
Ability to pass a pre-employment background check
Exposed Weapon Permit
Have non-lethal weapons certifications (OC Spray, Taser, baton)
Must be available for weekend shifts
Conflict management and de-escalation techniques
Knowledge of surveillance systems and loss prevention strategies
Strong observational skills and attention to detail
Excellent communication for interacting with staff, visitors, and emergency responders
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in high-pressure situations
Ability to Commute: San Francisco, CA 94105
Ability to Relocate: San Francisco, CA 94105 before starting work (Required)

Nice To Haves

Prior experience in law enforcement or military service is a plus

Responsibilities

Patrol assigned areas to deter and detect signs of intrusion or suspicious activity
Respond promptly to alarms and emergency situations, taking appropriate action
Conduct security inspections of buildings, grounds, and equipment
Enforce rules and regulations related to access control and loss prevention
Prepare detailed reports on security incidents, observations, and actions taken
Collaborate with law enforcement agencies when required for investigations or emergencies
