Join Allied Universal at a government location as a Front Desk Officer, serving as a professional first point of contact while supporting access control, visitor screening, and incident documentation. You will maintain a visible presence, communicate clearly with staff and guests, and help to deter security-related issues through attentive observation and timely reporting. This is an armed post requiring an armed guard card/license and a valid driver’s license.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Possess 3 or more years combined law enforcement, military, and/or security experience or a college degree.
  • Possess an active DoD Confidential clearance.
  • Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
  • Possess 6 months or more armed security, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
  • Be 21 or more years of age.
  • Possess an active DoD Top Secret clearance.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors and staff at a government facility by following Allied Universal site-specific policies, access procedures, and/or emergency response activities as needed.
  • Staff the front desk and manage visitor processing, including sign-in requirements, credential checks per post orders, issuing temporary badges, and directing individuals to appropriate departments.
  • Monitor cameras, alarms, and other building systems from the front desk and respond to alerts and/or irregular activity in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Answer phones and handle routine inquiries, coordinate with facility contacts and public service personnel when assistance is needed, and document calls and actions taken.
  • Complete detailed incident reports, shift logs, and other required documentation related to security-related activities, access control events, and/or policy violations.
