About The Position

Inter-Con is searching for motivated dedicated and qualified Contract Detention Officers (CDO) to join our team. The CDO will be responsible for the secure detention and transportation of prisoners while upholding the highest standards of professionalism and compliance with federal guidelines. Job operates in client sites which could be indoors or outdoors. Open availability Nights, Weekends, Holidays and overtime as directed (overtime occurs). Work various shifts and Holidays as assigned. Requirements

Must be a U.S. Citizen
Must be 21 years of age or older
Must have a High School Diploma or GED
Must speak, read, and write English fluently
Possess a valid U.S. driver's license
If transporting prisoners, must have a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL)
Must be trained and qualified in the use of USMS-approved firearms and less-than-lethal devices
Certification or waiver for Hepatitis B and TB skin test
Must have an honorable or general discharge if a Veteran
Minimum of three (3) years' experience handling prisoners
Experience must be in one or more of the following roles: Law Enforcement Officer Corrections Officer Detention Officer Military Police Officer
Previous CDO experience may be credited toward this requirement
