As an Armed Security Officer at Precision Security Team, you will play a key role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for the public at your assigned location. Your responsibilities will include addressing security concerns and handling requests as needed to ensure the safety and satisfaction of clients and the community. We are looking for someone to work 6:00 pm-10:30 pm Friday and 2:30-10:30 pm Saturday and Sunday for a total of 20.5 hours per week. Please do not apply if this does not work with your availability. As a security officer working in Greeley , you would be required to obtain an Armed Greeley Security Guard License immediately upon hire. Because of the significant time and training we dedicate to preparing you for success in this role, we ask for a minimum commitment of six months. While you will not be entering into a written contract, accepting this position represents your commitment to remain in your role for at least that period. This timeframe ensures that the investment we make in your training, onboarding, and development is mutually beneficial, and that you have the opportunity to fully apply your skills in a meaningful way. To be considered for internal transfers or promotions, employees must first demonstrate consistent, satisfactory performance in their current role. This approach allows time to build essential skills, contribute to your team, and become familiar with our company culture before advancing. PST adheres to a hands-off approach whenever possible, prioritizing verbal de-escalation and conflict resolution techniques. The only instance where physical intervention is appropriate is if an individual poses an immediate physical threat to themselves, others, or you. Acceptable physical intervention techniques will be taught during our mandatory Phase I training. Employment with Precision Security Team is "at-will," meaning that either the employee or the company may terminate the employment relationship at any time, with or without cause or notice, as permitted by Colorado law. This at-will employment relationship cannot be altered or modified except by a written agreement signed by both the employee and an authorized representative of the company. All knowledge about a site's staff, customers, products, events, procedures, facilities, etc. must remain confidential. Requirements

• 21 years of age or older
• high school diploma or GED
• pass required national background check
• eligible to legally use a firearm
• previous firearm experience
• willing to travel to Fort Collins for an interview and training
• valid driver’s license
• clean driving record
• able to work the posted hours without modification
• wear required uniform throughout the entire duration of your shift
• able to train and become certified to use an approved firearm
• ability to use/maintain/operate/manipulate firearm, handcuffs, and other issued gear
• able to stand for up to eight hours at a time
• able to pass company basic hand-to-hand course
• able to walk around and up and down stairs frequently throughout your shift
• able to lift at least 50 pounds unassisted
• able to wear issued gear belt and ballistic vest for the entire duration of your assigned shift
• Professional Firearms Experience: Demonstrated experience in the safe handling and operation of firearms, including proficiency in marksmanship, safety protocols, and weapon retention. Experience should reflect training or previous roles where the responsible use of firearms was required, such as law enforcement, military service, or certified security positions.
• Professionalism and Reliability: Seeking a candidate who demonstrates strong organizational skills, a dependable work ethic, and the ability to maintain a stable and professional approach to responsibilities both on and off the job.
• Adherence to Professional Grooming Standards: Maintain a neat, clean, and professional appearance at all times, in accordance with company guidelines. This includes proper uniform wear, grooming, and presentation to reflect a high standard of professionalism when interacting with clients, school staff, and students.

Responsibilities

• Conducting Regular Patrols of the School Campus: Routinely monitor the entire school campus by vehicle and foot, including hallways, and outdoor areas, to maintain a visible security presence and deter potential threats.
• Expertly De-escalating High-Stress Situations: Use effective communication and conflict resolution skills to calmly de-escalate tense or volatile situations, ensuring the safety and well-being of all parties involved.
• Maintaining Constant Situational Awareness: Remain alert and attentive to the surrounding environment at all times, quickly identifying any unusual activities or potential risks.
• Ensuring the Safety of Students, Staff, and Visitors: Prioritize the security and well-being of students, staff members, and parents, fostering a safe and welcoming atmosphere within the school community.
• Responding Swiftly and Appropriately to Emergencies: React promptly and appropriately to any incidents or emergencies that arise, following established protocols to manage the situation effectively.
• Alarm Response: Quickly and effectively respond to alarm activations on campus, assess the situation, and take appropriate action in accordance with established procedures to ensure the safety and security of students, staff, and property.
• Documenting and Reporting Incidents: Accurately record and report all incidents, disturbances, or safety concerns to the relevant authorities or school administration, ensuring clear communication and proper follow-up.
• Precision Security Team or the client can assign other duties to you as necessary at any time.
