About The Position

We are looking for Arena Operations Technicians to join our Intuit Dome team for the NBA All Stars and a packed concert schedule! We will be hosting virtual interviews on a rolling basis where you will connect with our hiring managers and participate in one-on-one interviews. Event is by invitation only. The anticipated start date is Tuesday, January20 th . The Arena Operations Technician is responsible for carrying out processes for back-of-house operations to ensure Intuit Dome always operates optimally. As an Arena Ops Tech, you will support all events within the Intuit Dome property and grounds while ensuring the venue is always event ready. The Arena Operations Technician's main tasks include event set-up, tear down, changeovers, and daily operational work related to concerts, sporting , meetings, and other events. Technicians may also assist with assembly of furniture, pickups and deliveries, and movement of various equipment throughout the facility. This is a part-time role based in Inglewood, CA. The scope of this position encompasses a 24-hour, 7 day a week operation with the transition of numerous daily events. Due to the nature of this industry, the candidate must be available to work a flexible schedule including weeknights, weekends, and holidays to cover high profile concerts and NBA games.

Requirements

Minimum of one (1) year experience in the field of facility management preferably in a complex and sophisticated deadline driven environment.
Must be at least 18 years old.
Ability to work nights, weekends and holidays as business requires.
Understand verbal and written instructions in English. Employee will frequently communicate via radio and in-person with others and exchange accurate information.
Strong interpersonal skills, with an ability to interact effectively and professionally, diplomatically, and maturely with internal and external clients and peers at all levels within an organization and throughout the community.
Understands principles of project coordination, project management, and exhibits attention to detail to meet tight deadlines and work effectively in a high-pressure environment.
Highly responsive to emergencies in a fast paced, time sensitive environment.
Ability to receive direction and constructive feedback within a multi-ethnic/multi-cultural environment.
Willingness/ability to perform physical labor while remaining mobile, engaged, and energetic throughout sustained periods of time.
This position requires frequent bending and squatting, ability to move and lift up to 75 pounds, standing for long periods of time, exposure to multiple external elements, and extensive walking through the building.

Nice To Haves

OHSA 10 Certification highly preferred.
Previous experience and certification operating heavy machinery such as forklift, scissor lift and golf carts preferred.
Knowledge of and a passion for professional basketball and live entertainment.

Responsibilities

Carry out the conversion and changeover of the building from event to event including but not limited to NBA, college basketball, concert productions, corporate events, and more.
Carry out the operation of all event setup and teardown equipment including stages and platforms, basketball court flooring, basketball goals, scorers’ tables, retractable seating, etc. in compliance with Cal. OSHA, Life & Safety, and ADA regulations. This may include the installation and removal of various large heavy components utilized for games, concerts and other types of events.
Actively care for all venue equipment and property by storing equipment properly, cleaning and repairing broken or damaged items, and alerting management of any mistreatment of property.
Ensure the internal / external customer is satisfied upon the conversion of items and all items in the production notes have been addressed to meet safety regulations.
Responsible for the physical setup of all areas around the venue including flooring, chairs, tables, walls, staging, furnishings, and equipment.
Properly utilize, organize and store operations supplies / equipment and perform effective inventory storage practices to guarantee the appropriate supplies and equipment required to perform their duties efficiently.
Support Intuit Dome’s robust sustainability program.
Maintain overall cleanliness and organization of the venue.
May be required to operate industrial vehicles such as pallet jack, forklifts, and other lifting equipment.
Other duties as assigned.
